Book Review: Let's Celebrate Ganesha's Birthday! (Maya & Neel's India Adventure Series) by Ajanta Chakraborty and Vivek Kumar
Good day!
Ganpati Bappa Morya !
We celebrated 5 days of Gauri Ganpati at our house. Though this year due to
the Coronavirus Lockdown, the celebration was moderate. But we tried to bring
as much cheer and energy to welcome the Elephant God.
Before the festival began, I read out :

what the Festival signifies.

What I liked:
The simple story line. The clear explanation of the stories without giving it a religious color. The words and language is perfect for children. The other factors about the festival are also highlighted. I liked how Lal Baugh cha Raja is introduced. As it is an important part of Ganesh Festival in Mumbai.
The illustrations are lovely. In this book too, my daughter was hunting for Chintu in each page. It was fun spotting him :)
Subtle integration of gender neutral concepts like Grandmother getting the idol home and Grandfather decorating and getting the house ready for Ganpati.
I liked the Info recap, Pronunciation guide, Info zoom. I found them very useful in
