Book 1: Book Review: A Chest's Tale by Jinal Shailesh Doshi

Story:

The fraternal twins Prash and Nish are helping their best friend Hri in setting up the Tiq Musuem for next day's inauguration. They are joined by Anju and Sanju. Dev Soni is an archaeologist and also son of Rishabh Soni of Azmina Chalet. He presents Hri's father Mr Parikh, an ornately carved Royal Chess Board Set found in an excavation in Egypt which once belonged to Emperor Akbar.
The Antique Chess Board is kept on display with all the other valuable antiques in the Museum amidst tight security. But the next day, a while after inauguration, there is an attempt to specifically steal the Antique Chess Board Set. Prash and Nish foil the robbery. But they discover that same morning Dev Soni and his parents have been attacked badly at their home. They uncover a clue in the Chess Board. The search is getting deeper and is a series of complicated clues.
Who is attacking the Twins' friends? What is the Mystery of the Chess Board?  Where will their search take them? Will The Mystery Crackers crack the connection of the Antique Chess Board and Egypt?

What I liked:

Loads of Indian History. Loads of information to digest and remember. Travel to many tourist places in Delhi and Agra. Getting to know the story and history of these places. Connecting the dots found with clues embedded in these places. The details and stories though fictional, seem so real. I definitely want to visit all these places soon.

I am trying to keep the mystery intact and not spoil it for you. But it is very difficult, believe me, not to gush over the details and the way the Mystery Crackers and their friends crack this one.

Super proud of having such a rich history and being born in the land of Scholars and Forward thinking kings. Proud to be an Indian. Liked the clever way of weaving the clues.

The story keeps giving you a feeling of deja vu when each piece of the mystery is found. Also this mystery is solved in a systematic way. It is not a jigsaw puzzle. It doesnt come together in the end. Instead the clues unravel once one step is solved. Hats off to the Genius who designed this Treasure hunt. Your chest will puff up when you come to know who and why this search was planned. Hence the feeling of dejavu never leaves you.

The description of each place is vivid and you can imagine each place with clarity. I liked how the importance of the place like a Tour Guide is communicated to the reader without breaking away from the narrative. You virtually travel to each of these places.

The amount of information to digest is huge in this book. I was hunting for specific clues as if sitting on the shoulders of the Twins, with a magnifying glass stuck to my eyes. I read the entire book in one go late into the night. Your heart races as the clues are all together and you are close to uncovering what is
The Ritzy Maartle.

The characters in the story are many but we know each of them from Book 1 and Book 2. Also the Twins and their friends play a major role with support from the Fathers where needed. I liked the banter of the teenagers and also their discussions when dissecting the clues.

The language is good. The sentences are long. The pages pack a lot of information. The story flow is consistent. The length of the story is short but perfect. I didnt think there was anything missing or unneeded in the book.
The Book Cover dazzles you. Read the entire book to get dazzled by the antiques found in each step of the mystery.

What I wanted more:

Book 4 is getting ready  I am sure. I am eagerly waiting for it along with my kids.
