Yoga is a beautiful form of exercise. Not only does it help physically but also spiritually.
Yoga for kids is beneficial for number of reasons.
My kids love outdoor activities and I encourage some form of exercise for them.
I wanted to introduce Yoga and its Asanas to them. But I was hesitant since I didn't remember the theory behind it.
We saw the Yoga Guppy Cards online and ordered them immediately. These are Flash Cards for kids which in poem form describe the Asanas with lovely illustrations.
Two Super women have created these Flash Cards.
The Yoga Girl Rashmi Ramesh created the Flash Cards.
Debjani Bhattacharya complimented them with the beautiful illustrations.
The 40 Flash Cards are made from thick Card paper. Kid friendly with rounded corners.
For kids age 2+ year old.
The Colours are bright and cheerful. The illustrations are Indian art inspired.
Each card has a Pose along with its English name and its Sanskrit name. On the back side is a poem describing the pose. It lists out the qualities of the pose in poetic form.
My toddler is using it as stacking cards and they are still in good shape.
Rashmi Ramesh now conducts online sessions for Kids called Yoga Guppy sessions.
The Yoga Guppy sessions are a lovely combination of dance, movement, music, rhymes, Yoga poses simple enough for the Little Yogis to perform. The sessions end with a Story Telling session by the expressive Rashmi aunty.
My son loves these sessions and keeps pestering me 1 hour before the session to help setup the laptop.
His favorite is Yogi Says. It is a kind of test Rashmi takes to see if the kids know the poses and are alert in the session. He likes to see all the kids who join the session. Cant stop him cause in this Lockdown they need some kids presence as assurance.

Rashmi Ramesh conducts Yoga sessions for Adults and has a thriving community of her Yoga fans on her Youtube Channel. She loves kids and has started these Yoga for Kids sessions called Yoga Guppies. She conducts them as mother toddler sessions.
Her latest addition to this are these Yoga Guppies Flash Cards.
COVID-19 Lockdown stopped Rashmi's regular sessions. But the Universe conspires in mysterious ways.
Rashmi Ramesh was swamped with requests to conduct online Yoga sessions. She started with sessions for Adults. Soon the parents requested for Kids sessions too.
Now we have Kids Yoga Sessions three times a week called Yoga Guppy Online sessions. Parents like me who cant travel to South Mumbai for a session with Rashmi aunty are super pleased.
No geographical boundaries now stop Kids or Adults to learn Yoga in such a fun way with Rashmi Ramesh.
